The first ski tunnel in the world was constructed in Vuokatti, Kainuu. The tunnel is more than a kilometre long and always offers perfect conditions for skiing, i.e. a temperature a little below zero and a well-kept track. You could also meet a world champion or two while you’re at it. The snowboard tunnel’s 80-metre halfpipe accommodates even the wildest tricks. Practically every top snowboarder in Finland has trained here.
