TAKE A CANOE TRIP OR LAKE CRUISE ON THE WATERS OF KAINUU

Kainuu is dotted with unique bodies of water whose breath-taking majesty you can enjoy in solitude in your quietly gliding canoe. Formed more than two billion years ago, the ageless canyon lake in Hossa National Park winds its way among stunning, austere cliffs. You can take a traditional steamboat cruise on Oulujärvi Lake – the Kainuu Sea – right from the centre of Kajaani. Our clean waters offer an unmatched variety of aquatic experiences to the traveller.
